There are a number of ways to get involved as a volunteer with Downtown Cincinnati Inc. throughout the year. From joining a committee to volunteering for one of our events or with our Marketing and Communications staff, we welcome you to contact us and find out more.
DCI Marketing and Communications Intern - Work side by side with our Senior VP and Associate VP and gain on-the-job marketing and communications experience. 8 to 16 hours per week. This is an unpaid position with the primary responsibility of writing DCI's weekly email that goes out under the signature of our President and CEO. Additional duties may include providing event assistance and website content, as well as interacting with downtown merchants.
Join a Committee - Help us achieve our mission by participating in one
of DCI's several committees including Safe/Clean, Access/Parking, Office, Small Business,
and Marketing/Communications.
Safe/Clean Committee Purpose: The work of the Safe/Clean Committee is to develop strategies that address safety and cleanliness issues through stakeholder communications and community relations. Members include Sector Group leaders, police, city officials, and other civic partners.
Meetings Times: Bi-Monthly
Marketing Committee Purpose: This Committee meets monthly to discuss and advise on DCI projects relating to retail promotions, research, holiday campaigns, media relations, residential marketing, Safe & Clean Ambassador programs and stakeholder communications. Members include representation from the retail, restaurant, hotel, sports and entertainment industries, as well as small and major office employers.
Meetings Times: Monthly
Small Business Task Force Purpose: This committee meets bi-monthly with a goal of increasing the number of sustainable, growth-oriented, minority-owned and women-owned enterprises. Members include small business owners, business assistance agency representatives, local government representatives, commercial real estate brokers, and chamber of commerce representatives.
Meetings Times: Bi-Monthly
Office Committee Purpose: This committee assists efforts by brokers, owners, lessors and building managers in the retention and recruitment of tenants to downtown, and works to create an environment conducive to growing the office market downtown. Members include commercial real estate brokers, building owners, and major office tenants.
Meetings Times: Quarterly
Access & Parking Task Force Purpose: The function of this Committee is to ensure good access to downtown, monitor parking supply, make recommendations, and ensure communication with stakeholders. Members include transportation professionals and business and property owners.
Meetings Times: Ad Hoc
